IRON MAIDEN: 'A Matter Of Life And Death' Tops Swedish, Czech Charts

According to Hits Daily Double, IRON MAIDEN's "A Matter of Life and Death" is on track to sell about 60,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release — significantly more than the 40,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, 2003's "Dance of Death" (which landed at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart),and that of "Brave New World", which moved 38,000 copies in June 2000 to land at No. 39 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"A Matter of Life and Death" was recorded at Sarm West Studios in London with producer Kevin Shirley, who also worked on the last two MAIDEN albums, 2000's "Brave New World" and 2003's "Dance of Death". The CD was released in the U.S. last Tuesday (September 5) via Sanctuary.
